DSD Strategic Plan

The University of North Texas Strategic Plan for 2006-2011 was adopted by the UNT Board of Reagents in May 2006. During the summer of 2006, each Vice Presidential Area except for Academic Affairs was charged with developing division-level strategic plans supporting the university plan. The division-level plan for Academic Affairs consists of the Academic Plan approved by the Provost in 2005. More information regarding UNT's Strategic Plan can be found here.

The Division of Student Development Strategic Plan (pdf) champions the overarching goals of the university by implementing programs essential to realizing UNT's mission as a "student-centered research university". Each department within the Division establishes learning and expected outcomes specific to their units as well as assessment techniques that will be utilized to evaluate progress. The DSD strategic plan relates these outcomes presented by each department to UNT's strategic initiatives. The DSD Strategic Plan is reviewed and revised annually to stay relevant to the evolving needs of UNT and its community of students. Housing, Dining and Auxiliary Services were recently encompassed within the Division of Student Development and their objectives will be added following the 2008 annual strategic plan review.
